Our latest fixture saw us come away with a disappointing 0-2 loss at home to Moneyfields on Saturday morning.
Blues struggled to find any rythmn or pattern to our play in a first half that saw Moneyfields dominate possession but unable to breakthrough the blues defence superbly marshalled by captain Jordan Tribe and Jamie Wrigley. The first half saw very few chances created by either side and they went in all square at 0-0.
Blues improved slightly in the second half and went behind on the hour when sloppy play in midfield gave possession away the ball was swept wide and pulled back from the by-line for asan easy tap in at the far post. Blues then produced the move of the match when after some good one and two touch football the ball was laid into Grant Thetford who hit a rasping drive that crashed off the crossbar and away to safety. Within five minutes we again lost possession in midfield after another blind pass and after a through ball the moneyfields striker made no mistake planting the ball into the far corner.
Overall a fair result and no complaints.
