After the abhoration of the previous week Blues youngsters served up a tremendous all round performance with this 5-1 victory. Blues created numerous chances before finally taking the lead after 20 minutes through a Mike James header. The lead was quickly doubled through a new signing Jack Reeder strike. After 35 minutes James scored his second goal heading home a pin point right wing cross from Harvey and give blues a comfortable three goal half time lead.
A similar pattern followed in the second half with further strikes from Reeder and Grant Thetford with his first goal of the season.
The only thing to spoil the performance was the award of a very harsh penalty which was duly converted to make the final score Rustington 5-1 Havant and Waterlooville.
The standard of the Rustington performance was such that Keeper Rebbetts hardly touched the ball in the entire match.
