Rustington FC are delighted to report that Marcus Robertshaw was called into the Sussex Under 18's squad last week making him the first ever Rustington youngster to have represented the county at that level, in a huge compliment for the 17 year old he has also been selected for a trial with the England schools side and it's exciting times for the whole club as we monitor his progress, Marcus has been a revelation for the Blues youth squad and his goals have been a huge factor in the sides progression, although making limited first team appearances last season Marcus has yet to be called into the first team squad but manager Gareth Davies is all too aware of what Marcus has to offer 'I'm obviously delighted for him and know how much it means to him to get this chance, it's now up to us to monitor his progress and look to advance him into the senior squad, with so much football we don't want to push him too hard but he has certainly raised eyebrows with his progression.'
