Now that club movements at Step 4 have been confirmed, it is possible to finalise the league constitution for the coming season.
With Eastbourne Town being promoted to Ryman League- Division 1 South, and with no movement in the opposite direction, Worthing United are reprieved from relegation.
At the top of Division 2, Pagham and St. Francis Rangers passed their ground inspections. However, with Westfield having no floodlights they are unable to go up and so Rye United are also reprieved from relegation. This means that only Littlehampton Town will be relegated from Division 1.
Both Rustington and Pease Pottage Village completed the necessary work to allow promotion to Division 2. This means that Saltdean United are relegated back to Division 3, although Broadbridge Heath will stay in Division 2.
There will be no relegation from Division 3, although the League is delighted to welcome a new member club in the shape of Dorking Wanderers, promoted from the West Sussex League.
The main story in the Reserve Section is that with the disbanding of the Alliance League, both Eastbourne Borough and Worthing will have a team in the Premier Division. Only Ringmer (to the East) and Worthing United (to the West) are relegated. Eastbourne United AFC and Crawley Down are promoted from the East, with just Selsey promoted from the West. With Horsham YMCA withdrawing, the Premier Division will have 16 teams next season.
With the arrival of the reserve sides from Pease Pottage (East) and Rustington (West), as well as the reforming of Littlehampton Town and Southwick (both West), there was an imbalance between the two regional divisions, so that St. Francis Rangers and Mile Oak have switched to the East Division. This leaves 14 teams in both the East and West.
